Did you know they re not the same?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Several people interchangeably the the words oceans and seas when talking about earths largest bodies of water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, there is a difference between the two terms, geographically speaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both the oceans and seas are large or vast waters-which account for over 70 percent of the total landmass area. Even as they\u2019re waters, oceans and seas are different in many ways. They are generally a large expanse of salty water bothered by land, except for the Sargasso Sea, which is defined only by its currents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The modern day acknoweldged seas are 7. They are the&nbsp;Arctic, North Atlantic, South Atlantic, North Pacific, South Pacific, Indian, and Southern Oceans. The Sargasso Sea is located entirely within the Atlantic Ocean and it is the&nbsp;<strong>only sea without a land boundary<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.latlong.net\/place\/sargasso-sea-usa-2428.html\" target=\"_blank\" data-schema-attribute=\"about\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Sargasso Sea, USA<\/a><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Latitude and longitude coordinates are:&nbsp;<strong>34.307144, -66.269531<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Sargasso Sea is a part of the North Atlantic Ocean located near the eastern shores of the United States of America and bounded to the west by the Gulf Stream. It received its name after so-called the Sargassum seaweed traces, discovered by European travelers in the 16th century. The sea has got fame for its deep blue water and its extreme clarity. In contrast to most of the other seas on the planet, the Sargasso Sea has no land boundaries except the ones of the western part of the sea, which are the shores of the United States.
