In Nigeria, the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) makes use of chronological arranged 6 digits-numerical postal codes to represent various cities and regions in the country.

The lowest postcode is 100001 and the highest is 982002. In addition there are some postal code for some states in Nigeria, as Enugu’s postal code is 400001, while Imo state’s is 460001. [1]

Contrary to the thoughts of most people, Nigeria’s postal codes system is well organized. The country is divided into nine regions, with each of the regions represented by the first 3 codes and the city is represented by the last 3 digits.
